Hi i pulled over a taxi in gran canaria i left my bag in the boot of the taxi i have called the taxi base and have been to the police station but i cant track the taxi i paid her through my card and only her name comes up on the transaction she was a lady taxi driver and she dropped me off to C.Perez Del Toro 14

Hi. After many years visiting the island I retired here in sept and bought a apartment. It’s part of a complex but I concerned I haven’t received a water or electricity bill yet and I don’t to receive a large bill later.as I’m the only one living in the apartment I don’t expect either bill to be high especially in Vecindario. Any help or advice would be much appreciated

Are there any recycling centres on Gran Canaria. Having just unpacked our removal boxes (300ish) we have a lot of cardboard, paper and plastic wrapping to get rid of. I think it would fill up the street collection bin many times over

I left my black movil on soco.  One couple had picked it up from there and said they will bring it to police. I have some information about the couple.

I tried emailing the company that issue the card to get it back to the owner or see if they'd post it but they said they don't have contact details... probably looking for the money that another copy would cost....

I have today during a walk along the beach from Playa de San Augustin and 5 km ahead to Playa des Ingles and back lost a blue box with my regular set of glasses. The set of glasses are brown/black in a modern design. 
As I am very dependant on my glasses and now only have my sunglasses I would appreciate any help to find my set of glasses.

Hi...I wondered if anyone could recommend a good private health insurance for expats please? one which has a good record of paying out on claims, but not overly expensive either if possible. I've had a couple of quotes from insurance brokers here, one from mapfre and I have read through all the conditions, but I'm not convinced that it is a good one. I already have healthcare here within the system, as I have residencia here, but I also wanted a backup insurance just in case, so I could access immediate healthcare if needed i.e.) at clinica Roca or similar, where they also speak English. Thankyou very much, advice would be much appreciated.
