Hello,

I’m Sergio Meli and I bought my house in Carrizal about 20yrs ago.

I have Spanish cousins living in Las Palmas and now several Spanish english speaking friends.

For me I love the place, the weather/climate/temp and food is perfect. I find the location near the airport is good too for travelling around the island.

Also Council Tax and Utility Bills are cheaper than living in a tourist area.

I just go up to the roof in the morning, see where the best weather is and go if I’m not working on my house. They do take a lot of maintaining if you want to keep the rain out.

Anything I can help you with let me know. I’ll be in Carrizal from Jan3 to March13.

Regards, Sergio

Winter - Temp is 20-25C during day and generally lighter winds and some rain. Quite cloudy sometimes. Quite cold at night because of damp sea air so you need warm clothing. In my house the temp never drops below 18C but it still can feel very cold. Need good thermal throws for your bed!

Summer - 25-32C during the day and feels very warm. Occasion cloudy days but not many. Stronger winds though but usually no rain. Nighttime very pleasant 25C which is the temp in my house. I use a fan in my bedroom to keep it cool not a thermal throw!

Where you will be is generally a little colder and more cloud. Wind about the same I think.

A friend of mine does have properties he rents but not in Carrizal though nearby I think.

I could ask him if you wish, I’m seeing him on Jan4th or could give you his name and contact number if he agrees
