Hi
I've registered with the local town hall, and need to get on with getting an NIE number. I don't speak Spanish and I'm worried the NIE process will be too complicated. Should I pay one of the legal firms that offer to do it for you?
Any advice welcome

What are you gettibg a Nie for ?
Hi. I got mine by applying in my home country Spanish embassy. It was straight forward

Hi there , ok you just need to go to the registration office . In Argenuigen its next to the Police station. Take your passport and if you have Rental agreement or purchase contract .
Be careful buying a car and check vía a profesional company there are no Debts on it .

When I was purchasing property here a few years the property selling company (estate agent) offered to get my NIE number for me at a cost of €135.
Might be worth a visit to your local property sales office
I think there are about 12 different things you need a NIE number for.
