Hello, this is probably a wild shot but I'll give it a go.

I'm arriving in Gran Canaria on 30th August and looking to buy a cheap bike to ride around for about 10 days.  Don't care if it looks tatty just as long as it'll last 10 days.  At the end of my holiday I'll cycle back to the airport and pin a note to it saying "free bike to explore the island" :D

So if someone has or knows of someone fairly near to the airport a rusty dusty but usable old granny bike they need out of the garage, then I'll take it off your hands and give it a good adventure.

I am new to this forum , so hello everyone. I would like some advice please.

My wife and I have now both retired due to illness, we are looking to spend our winters in a sunny warm climate and I can think of nowhere better than one of the Canary Islands because they have soo much to offer.

 Eventually we aim to permanently move to one of the islands after having experienced them first. This year we would like to rent an apartment on the warmer side of Gran Canary or Tenerife from November to March/April, somewhere between 4 to 5 months, can anyone reccommend  a reasonable 1 bedroom apartment close to amenities that is reasonably priced, or perhaps a website or such like where we can view properties and the surrounding area 

any advice would be most welcome and if it happens to be near to your location we would happily buy you a few beers 🍺

I'm looking to bring a pet dog from Gran Canaria to Ireland in a few months and I'm wondering if there are any pet agents in Gran Canaria that can organize this for me?

Or is there a freight company that can do this?

I know there is lots of English, Irish and German people living there so I would think I'm not the only one who wants to transport a pet.

  I have just contacted the Spanish Consulate here in the USA and I am planning a move in the next 24 months. I have visited Gran Canaria and loved it; of course! I do speak a little Spanish and plan on continuing that. I am interested in renting an apartment and hope someone can recommend a good agency. I would also like to know safe but economical beach areas I can plan on. I am a 61 year old active woman who will be moving here solo and can use any advice I can get on an area which I can plan on moving to which will be safe, close to the beach and public transport.
