Have you seen this British sailor, Jemsie?

He was last seen at 22:39 18th August 2025 at the Rico Kebab shop in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. His dog, Thumbelina was with him.

He was sailing long distance and had stopped in Las Palmas for a week or 2, and anchored around Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, (but it is not confirmed where) in his beautiful pea green boat, a Trintella 29ft /8.8m in length?

His boat was found, drifting, some way offshore on 26th August 2025. The dog was on board. We are awaiting more detail on the condition of the boat.
The dog is safe in a shelter in Gran Canaria and the boat was towed into harbour.

It is possible he went to collect a parcel he was expecting in Lanzarote. I am Deborah. I run Missing Persons Tenerife, and am helping the family in this case.

My husband has a hospital appointment next month and we have been advised to take a translator with us. We both speak a bit of Spanish, but would prefer a translator with us, as we have been told that the doctor does not speak English.
Any advice on who to contact would be appreciated

I lost my favorite scarf somewhere in Vegueta, along Calle Triana. If someone finds it, please share it! The scarf has sentimental value and looks very similar to the one in the photo, although it's not exactly the same. Thank you so much!
