hi 

i have visited gran caneria many times over last 10 yrs and hope to move to the island by end of 2020. there are a few things i would be grateful for your help/advise

1 i am 58 year old  male  dementia nurse in uk, wotking in clients homes, care homes and hospital settings. =can i do the same in  gran canceria. . i only wish to work part time

2 how can i rent property before i buy for 6 months 

3 how can i open a gran caneria bank account

4 i have a british passport plus european passport as i was born in ireland. both valid

5 i used to run my own home care agency and would like to see what opportunties there were for this on island

6 i will try and learn spanish whilst there but do i need to know language to work first

Hi Everyone...

Firstly...everyone have a safe and happy xmas and hopefully 2021 will bring back some normality to all our lives.

I realise this is 'more of the same' but I'm wondering about the current restrictions in GC.

Are the Hotels, restaurants etc open or is it a ghost town.  I have friends that have travelled to Lanzarote for a month and there is very little happening there are the moment...

I'm trying to figure out first of all whether GC or Tenerife is better... I appreciate this is going to be subjective.

Basically, I don't drive yet (can learn of course) - I'm an ex-Londoner, so I'd like somewhere:

- Within walking distance of a beach

- Near a good gym + possibly spa

- Beautiful weather

I'm not really a clubber - never really dug nightclub life or culture.

I don't drive - being an ex-Londoner, never saw the need to - until now! ;)

Thought Maspalomas or Las Palmas could be an option.

But anyway I came to Amadores, loved it here (staying at the Gloria Royal), I could probably live here, however, long-term that may not be sustainable...

If anyone has any street smarts, recommendations or insider info, let me know!

We have only been living in Gran Canaria for a month and need to know which company would be best for WiFi and which is the best way of getting British T.V. there seem lots of options, but its always best to get peoples opinions rather than companies
