Hey, there
I'm gay, 46, and been with my partner for almost 20 years. Since the pandemic my partner now works from home permanently, we have been to GC many times and would like to relocate to Playa del Inglés or nearby.
Would be grateful for any advice/tips on starting a new life in GC.

First let me say I'm not gay I'm happily married for 51 years
But that makes no difference I have friends over here in gran canaria who own property and got married here they are great guys. They also have property back in the UK
I'm retired here with my wife's pension my pension and private pension and can live comfortable. We got our residencia before brexit kicked in. So it was easy but now I believe it is quite difficult with health insurance and capital in Spanish bank vastly increasing so you would fall into the 90 day trap
There is a man from Coatbridge who came to gran canaria years ago as he recognised a niche for guys looking for apartments

It’s Jim Keenan at Pride Properties but check the Spanish consulate website for the requirements post Brexit it’s not easy .. we got residencia 2 years ago but it’s been expensive and traumatic !
