5 is the easiest option   you only need to walk over pedestrian crossing up the incline and you're at stance 1

We are flying from Gatwick to Barcelona and a connection from Barcelona to Gran Canaria a few hours later.  I wonder if we get stamped ar passport control in Barcelona or Gran canaria.

Just checking, the express bus stop is the same as the other bus stops at the front of the airport?

Yes same. Last on the right is normally  P R  probaby will say Mogan or Playa del Cura 

Passports will be checked at Barcelona as you're flying from UK to Spain  but from Spain to G.C. you won't 

When you come out of exist 5 and walk straight ahead and up incline  the bus stops are to the right
