Moving to the Island

I'm in a position where within 2 years I can move to Gran Canaria and like the area of Mogan. I am aware of needing to do a lot of research into different areas and what's close by etc. I'll be coming out with a friend who will be buying their property as I will be. Over the years we have been on holiday to different parts of the beautiful island.

We are in the early stages and will be going on holiday again in February when we'll be hiring a car to travel around. 

My question is; Are there any areas which are better than others for English speakers but with a traditional Spanish feel (where I can continue learning Spanish as I'd like to get a part-time job when we do move out despite being able to retire, I need to still be doing something) We are both qualified in the fields we're in. 

To register with an Estate agent- Are there any that someone can recommend and who speaks English?
