If you are happy to learn remotely over Skype, I know someone in Spain who is very patient and thorough.

Thanks for that info   but to be honest I prefer a class or 1-2-1 I'm not very patient lol

I am quite far advanced in duolingo  but it's the pronunciation of word that are difficult

The Skype calls would be 1-2-1 and she's a native Spanish speaker with time spent in the UK (her English is very good, even down to some of our phrases and quirks). I would think she could help with any level of experience and certainly with the pronunciation of complex words. I've found Duolingo sometimes is more America-Spanish in pronunciation.

Thanks again NewMe for taking the trouble to respond to my forum search  I really do want to learn away from my home environment     I would never be able to concentrate    I know this sounds crazy but if I'm sitting like now and something comes into my head  I've got to react and action immediately  I get agitated sitting     I've got to be occupying my time   Skype doesn't really appeal to me      but hey thanks again for responding  and can I ask     Why NewMe   is it you being a New You ?

I'm considering moving to the island, hence the username. I understand what you mean about distractions. I have to be very focussed whenever I've been studying from home, but I also work from home so I guess I've been practicing for a while.

I'm in the UK. I'm hoping my visit will be very informative! Already arranging to meet some others on the island. Will let you know if I have time to take you up on your kind offer, thank you.
