Hi all...

This is my first post to the Forum...I'm thinking of travelling to GC mid November for a month.

What restrictions are there at the airport and what is life in general like there i.e.: going for a walk, having a beer, sunbathing day on the beach. Late night offerings are not my interest so Late Bars and Disco's etc don't bother me.

Hope everyone stays safe...

Thank You

DAVE

Hi dave

Well were do I start  if you're asking how things are at present   I would say pretty dismal    I was through at playa del ingles last week   most of the small shopping malls closed    beaches  empty     bars  restaurants either closed or empty  plays del ingles area  maspalomas getting windy  good for the wind surfing     anyway that's not what you're asking     the restrictions are  you must wear a mask everywhere you walk  even to and fro your selected area on beach   restaurants open until midnight   not allowed in after 11pm   most are closing about 10.30/11.00  not allowed entertainment

No cash allowed to transfer on buses only credit debit cards  the airports are pretty empty so dont foresee problems there    there is talk about doing testing on arrivals but not in place yet

Tourism pretty grim

If you're looking for a quiet month to chill out   it's as good a place as any    temp dropping soon to about 24  so nice and relaxing

Good luck

By the way I live in Puerto de mogan  and that's my view of here    but others may differ

Hi lynn

I agree with you 100% it's probably the safest place to be   but not really what the holiday maker wants unless for a chill out

It's so so quiet

Hi dave

I'm not sure about the required form entering las palmas     I have heard airports were going to introduce a covid test on arrival  and give results within 2 days    but not sure if that has taken effect yet   as for hotels  there are a lot not open  and the ones that are     are only about 10% full believe the still provide breakfast and meals but no entertainment and follow the closing time regulations

If it were me I would be looking at a nice apartment   do your own thing  cooking etc   use the beach and relax   most important

STAY SAFE

Hi Dave

I flew with Ryan Air  form was on their web site which I filled in .  very clear details on there  and on the Government site I believe.  I went to San Austin on Monday with a friend as she knows someone wanting to come .  She took a couple of pics to send  which I could forward if you pm me your details.  Very quiet from what is norm.  Lots of apartment blocks closed  and few on the beaches but personally I like that.  It was a Monday so weekends maybe busier.  I am going over there this weekend so could let you know if busier.

Regards
