Looking to Rent for 6 Months from October 2021

My wife and I are looking to rent for 6 months from October 2021 in Puerto Rico/Arguineguin area. Looking at a 2 bedroom property with sea view and pool and decent size terrace. We notice that quite a lot of rental properties include water and electric up to around 50 Euros. Is this reasonable? What are the costs for regular bills? What hidden costs should we be aware of? What is this best way of renting a car for 6 months?

Any feedback and advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Nigel & Jane

Hi

The costs vary depending on the location and the proximity of the beach and amenities

For a 6 month rental you are looking at approx

1250€  + 50 elect / water    some apartments have a meter for air conditioning   but from Oct to march  you should not require it

Only other cost you may  incur is wifi

My neighbour next door has an apartment  above the spar in arguiniguin overlooking the beach

If you're interested I could find out cost and availability

Sorry nigel I just noticed you are looking for a pool too and spacious terrace    I think you should maybe be looking at 2000€ per month

Hi Bill

Thank you very much for your reply. How long have you lived in GC?

We have been looking on the Kyero and ThinkSpain websites for long term rental for roughly what we want and they are quoting around 750 to 900 Euros per month. We particularly fancy around the Los Caideros Urbanization, Arguiniguin and Puerto Rico and have seen a 2 Bed in Los Caideros for 800 Euros but obviously we are looking for next October.

We recently purchased a timeshare at Anfi Monte (before our recent plans came to fruition) and do plan to stay there  in the new year when hopefully all this Covid situation has settled down. We will then be able to look round more and contact Estate Agents.

Have you any idea of costs and best way of hiring a car for 6 months?

Best regards

Nigel & Jane

Hello

I have lived in Puerto de mogan for 4 years now

I'm not sure about car hire   but if you check on car hire in gran canaria I'm sure you'll find it inexpensive   my friend have hired before

It's cheaper for me to travel by bus as I get a discounted rate for pensioner  and to be honest  there is no need for me to have a car sitting doing nothing

You may find that the rates for apartments showing just now have dropped dramatically due to no tourism and most apartments are lying empty

This is my WhatsApp no. Should you need any more questions answered
