My husband was a UK passport holder when he obtained his Tie however he is now an Irish citizen so needs to change to a nie. Does anyone know how or where to do this. (He no longer holds a UK passport).

Hi, you should contact your local police station and they will advise you, or the Oficina De Extranjeria in Las Palmas on 928 99 92 60, but in reality he already has a NIE included within his TIE, it’s printed on the front of the TIE. The NIE is your tax identification number and is issued to everyone whatever their nationality and that number won’t change.
