Can anyone help... I am 70 and a regular visitor to Gran Canaria. I am here for two months but left just before it was possible to arrange a booster jab for Covid and I will not be back in England before the beginning of February.  I am wondering if it is possible for visitors in my situation to pay to have the booster here, where I could do this on the island and if there is away of registering the booster in my NHS covid pass for travel.

Hello, I'm not sure if this will be any help to you, but I know that they are giving vaccines at 'Expomelonares' in Maspalomas. I think that you need an appointment, but they seem very helpful there and you could phone to ask and explain your situation. They may be able to help.

Tel. 928128000.

Many thanks. In fact, I was able to have the booster without an appointment. They are giving up to 80 booster Moderna jabs a day to non resident foreigners at the expo centre

Hi  if you are in Arguiniguin  I think you have two options

1 go to the medical centre up the hill past the Dino

Through the roundabout and it is on left

Take your passport  your EHIC card and your proof of two vaccines in UK

2. Go to the vaccine centre next to r.c.church  at police station

They are very helpful and will advise

It is the big white tent

Thanks very much!  I managed to get the booster at the Expo Centre in Melinares last week. They are giving it to 80 foreigners each day, regardless of residence, which is very generous. Now can you advise me the easiest  and least expensive place to get my Antigens test the day before I fly back to England?  I am in Argueniguin. Would San Roque hospital be the best place?

When I was flying home to Scotland for a visit I got my antigen test at the Scandinavian Centre

Directly across the road from the bus station in Puerto Rico

Book an appointment within your timescale  you'll get results about 15 mins later   cost 30€
